What Happened to Obama and the Democrats?

Just over a year ago, millions of people across the country rejoiced in the election of Barack Obama in the hopes he would reverse the upside down priorities of the Bush years. Yet over a year after his inauguration, thousands continue to lose their jobs with millions unemployed -- and Obama has kept only those promises we wouldn't have minded him breaking, like his promise to escalate the war in Afghanistan.

There is a way to turn things around: it involves redirecting the hopes people had in Obama to faith in ourselves. Through activism, such as the upcoming March 4th Day of Action against the cuts to California education, we can win the changes we desperately need.
